Post Body

Hello all, I’m a children’s nurse with 10 years experience in critical care and long term ventilation. Currently working as a Clinical lead in the community, for a private nationwide company. I’m a band 7 equivalent.

I feel however my career has plateaued. Iv done some Leadership courses and I feel im always getting stuck in to new projects in my company. My goal for my career is chief nurse or head of service. I don’t see how I can get from where I am now to there. Have I shot myself in the foot by leaving the NHS?

Any advice from someone that has made it to a lead nursing roll would be greatly appreciated.
