Evening everyone,
I know this is going to sound like a very stupid question especially coming from a RN4 so lets treat this seriously for new grads and for anyone else who is curious.
Anyway we all know by now that NSW pay is bad and our base rate is one of the lowest in the country. We also know penalty rates do stack up and adds to our overall salary.
However penalty rates also differ form state to state, we don't know when we will be working since that's up to rostering and staffing needs and I've left out over time as that's more voluntary.
I'm curious because I want to know what we get for all the unsocial hours worked, fatigue and sleep deprivation backed by numbers and figures. Like I sad we know the pay sucks but I want to back it with figures.
So roughly how much more do we get annually from penalties if we are working a full time rotating roster ?
Thanks everyone and have a good one.
