Friend of mine works in Peri-op Victoria state (madness about work hours and payment)

Post Body

It seems like peri-op nurses are working 10 hours a day and have been sometimes force or guilt trip to finish the surgical list even though it is more than 10 hours.

Also, it seems like if they do overtime after 10 hours they are only paid X1.5 hours for the first 2 hours then X2 for the succeeding hours.

My question is that can the EBA change the rules of this madness workload in Peri-op like: 1. after working 8 hours, they will be paid X1.5 for the first 2 hours instead of 2. then X2 for the rest of the hours
