What is being a agency travel nurse like both work, life style and financially wise ?
Post Body

Good evening everyone,

I just wanted to know your thoughts on working locum, travel contracts in regional areas out of state (Queensland/NT/WA) or even overseas (Saudi Arabia/UAE) and agency nursing in general.

I'm a RN3 (turning RN4 this year) scrub scout in NSW health and I have no faith in the NSW government to give us a pay rise and I have been thinking I might as well go where the money is to get ahead in life and having an excuse to go travel and galivant around the country or across the globe. I'm 30, single and have no dependents so there's nothing holding me back.

For those who have gone down this path did you think it was worth it ? What were your experiences ? What is it like career, work, lifestyle and financially wise ?

Thank you and have a nice night.
