I've been a nurse for almost 6 years and I love when patients ask, "do you like being a Male nurse? " my answer is always "yes, I can't see myself doing anything else"
What I don't tell my patients is that I've worked for several types of jobs before becoming a nurse. I did upholstery, fork lift, a little carpentry, a lot of factory work, cook, janitor, and so many other jobs. I was always great but I was never challenged and most were low paying dead end jobs. I absolutely love nursing and a younger me would never have guessed it.
