I was curious to see if there’s a big difference between a standard hospital ER when compared to an Urgent Care ER/Clinic.
Are they pretty identical to each other in terms of what servicies they offer patients? I’m assuming the more acute and severe patients go to a hospital in the event they need to be transferred to an ICU and urgent care clinic may get the broken bone kind of patient?
Also thinking about maybe trying out the ED and wondered whether an urgent care clinic would be better to their nurses than a traditional hospital would.
Is there more downtime working in an urgent care clinic for nurses when compared to a hospital ER nurse? Are urgent care clinic administrators better to their nurses/staff in general?
Would love to hear your answers!
