Frequent handwashing and dry cracked skin

My gf is an RN and washes her hands religiously at work, resulting in the skin on her hands being very dry and irritated; she mentions her discomfort to me frequently. Does anyone on this subreddit have some good recommendations for a lotion or best practice around handwashing I can refer her to?
