For this photo we choosed a quote [Jonathan Safran Foer] as the title. Why? Because this is our take away message with this photo. Honestly, it was not planed, just a motif we tried out without knowing if it was good. When we saw it at the computer monitor, it just happened that we were overwhelmed by the emotion that comes from this photo. There is this darkness, this sadness. Of course, it does not look like actual sadness, it still looks like a forced pose as it is. But this does not matter, even is making the photo stronger for us. I [the woman] have a rough time for like a while now, there is cancer in the family. But still I have to be functional everyday, I have to work, to learn, to take care of every day stuff, there is not much time to feel the sadness inside of me. And that‘s not really good, as the more you forget about your dark feelings, the more you forget about your actual joy. So there needs to be moments in my life where I allow myself to be weak, to feel sad and useless, even if those are forced moments I wished to just skip. Only with this there is a chance to live through this bad situation, to get stronger, to be able to smile sometimes and to not forget to live, as it‘s not a situation that will be good again soon. Yes, taking photos is a good therapy sometimes, to just be aware of some things again. If you took your time to read this, why this is a special photo for us, thank you. ❤️
