Got any advice for a first time writer?
Post Body

Hey Reddit! I've followed the site for a long while now lurking in the shadows but this is the first post I've ever made. I was thinking to myself where the best place to look for advice on my first novel and I couldn't think of anywhere better than here. So anyway, I recently began writing a fantasy novel, I'm not very far in yet but the context is based around the mysteries of Atlantis and her lost gods. So my question. Do I come up with my own pantheon, or use a preexisting Atlantean pantheon with permission? Looking forward to the responses if I get any, hah. Thanks.
