A pretty sweet multiplayer idea for text adventure

So this is going to sound wild, and Iā€™m honestly not sure if this is even possible with current AI technology, but Iā€™m kind of just speaking out loud here because this sounds pretty awesome.

So Iā€™m not sure how many of you are familiar with Seth on YouTube, but I was recently browsing through his channel and his past videos and I came across the video he did about a game called the space station 13. This game is absolutely hilarious, and extremely open ended. You can do virtually anything in this game as itā€™s been a development for if Iā€™m not mistaken about 20 years. After watching this video, I had an idea for NovelAI or other AI services for a multiplayer setting that could genuinely be so much more enjoyable than what I dungeon currently offers as a multiplayer setting.

So basically, the way this would work is that you would create a lobby. You would invite other friends into this lobby who also have a novel AI subscription, and you would all be given the choice to create a prompt. So you would all type in your prompt, and hit enter. The I would then take every prompt written by everyone once they all finished, and it would attempt to create as cohesive of a story as it possibly can given the information from every person. Essentially combining every single prompt until one. After this, each player would be placed into theā€game worldā€.

After each player has been placed into their world, that is when each person would be given their own prompt field to type into. So for example sake, letā€™s say that one person spawns in a cafĆ©, one person Spons in a sushi shop, and one person spawns in a coffee shop. Each of these stores would be on the same street in the game world, and this would basically be running in real time so if I were the person in the coffee shop and I sent a due command to look around my surroundings and I noticed that there was a coffee shop across the street, I could send another Duke command to walk across the street to the coffee shop and then on the other personā€˜s consul who is currently in the coffee shop, it would say that the person entered the coffee shop. Names would of course either be randomly generated or chosen at the beginning alongside the prompt.

So I hope all of this makes sense so far. Essentially, if this were to work, you could actually have such a interesting and fun concept game where are you and all of your friends could quite literally do anything and you could even create custom modules or very extensive and complex lorebook entries to actually create a pretty awesome game and I could personally see my friends and I having so much time invested into something like this because it would almost be like youā€™re not only able to play a completely open ended game where you can literally do anything, but you can also get that sensation that youā€™re building your own video game from the ground up via logbook entries so each time you all played again and again you would be able to just add more and more goofy shit. Iā€™m not sure if all of this made sense, but Iā€™m curious what you guys think. Like I said, I have no idea if this is even possible, but if it is this could seriously be not only an awesome moneymaker for NovelAI since every player would need a membership, but it would also just be a really really really cool tool.

Edit: iā€™m not sure I fully explained the idea well, so I just wanted to add another example down here. Letā€™s say you played with your friends in a game setting where are you had lower book entries describing the environment has a spaceship floating around in space. Each person could for example act as a crew member. This would set you all in the same world on the same ship or, in different ships close to each other. Letā€™s say you all have a nice goofy time in the game, and you all sign out for the day. Letā€™s say youā€™re just browsing the web and you get a wild idea to add some kind of a weapon into the game or some kind of an object. You would be able to open up the logbook entry for your specific game you and your friends play on, and youā€™d be able to add a logbook entry for that weapon and describe it in detail and then the next time you guys play one of your other crewmembers could find that weapon laying around somewhere based on the description you gave it. So letā€™s say you add a weapon or object that is a sponge that has the infinite capacity to suck up endless amounts of water and it can be found underneath the kitchen sink you save that logbook entry, and the next time you guys player crewmember goes under the sink and they find that exact sponge. Hope this clears things up a little bit more.(:
