To the NovelAI developers, and the AI community as a whole, thank you for making this product a reality. I am currently 25, and I w as born with a rare genetic eye disorder called LCA. It's a severe form of RP, and it basically makes the rods and cones of my eyes degrade fairly quickly throughout life, causing tunnel vision and eventual blindness. In 2020, I started to notice I was having far more issues playing video games, and p erforming normal tasks far more than I used to.Fast forward to now, and I sadly don't have enough vision left to see my own face, read text, play video games, etc. I'm n ot quite as blind as just having light perception yet, but unfortunately I think I'm slowly getting there, which is very hard to get through. After doing a fair amount of research into text based games, hwoever, I remembered that Text Adventure games w ere a genre, and lo and behold NovelAI is a thing, and not only that, around the time I discovered it, they just added text-to-speech support, which was almost perfect for me. Now I've been enjoying making totally original hilarious/fun text adventure generations that havve been keeping me entertained for hours on end, and I love it. This is one of the few games out there right n ow that I can a ctually play, and be proficient at it. Thanks to screen readers and the helpful hotkeys the developers put into the site, I can actually navigate the site fairly well with my horrible vision, and have a great time either by m yself or with friends screen sharing over discord. I'm currently subscribed to the $10 tier becuase I can't afford to do a higher one, but I would love to upgrade in the future when I am a little m ore wealthy so I can use the newest AI modelbut the future seems very bright right now, and I'm very excited to hopefully upgrade in the future, as this might be my new avenue of gaming throughout these troubling times.
