I had previously resubscribed after the original new AI was released, and thought it was still a little lackluster at keeping track of text adventure events. I'm not sure if perhaps I am just using the text adventure model incorreclty, or if something else might be going on here, but basically what seemed to be happening in the past is the following--
I would select text adventure, I would specify some sort of scenario I wanted to RP, which I would type into the little chat field at the bottom of said page, and I would hit enter. This shoudl theoretically ebgin the text adventure, from what I can tell, but it never seemed to work that way. I had even tried using the shortcuts that I was told to use in the past in order to make text adventure a ltitle faster, such as > for do commands, ! for story commands, and " for say commands, but none of these did the trick.
Without fail, no matter what I would do, things just wouldn't work out. If I were to use the prompt, "!The story begins with Bob, the wizard in his castle of mysteries. You are playing as Bob, trying to uncover some murder mystery that happened in the town below." I would just end up with nonsense being spit back. Something totally irrelevant to what I was asking for.
How is the new model at handling this? And how much more consistent can the model be? For example, if a character dies, will it still be alive when I try to talk to it, or will it simply actually be dead?
Have I also perhaps just been using the text adventure mdoule incorrectly this entire time?
Thanks!
Edit: I just notice di was still subscribed to scroll tier, so I wante dto give Clio another shot,a nd it took all of two prompts for the AI to just ocmpletely fall apart. This is sort of what I'm referring to right here:
You cast a spell. "Ugh, damnit!" you grumble as you find that you have summoned a demon instead. "Just what I need," you grumble. You turn the demon loose.
You try the spell again.
You cast a spell. "Ugh, damnit!" you grumble as you find that you have summoned a demon again. "Just what I need," you grumble. You turn the demon loose.
You cast it with all your might and it succeeds.
You cast a spell. "Ugh, damnit!" you grumble as you find that you have summoned a demon again. "Just what I need," you grumble. You turn the demon loose.
You the spell works.
You cast a spell. "Ugh, damnit!" you grumble as you find that you have summoned a demon. "Just what I need," you grumble. You turn the demon loose.
No matter how much instruction I provide, the action I wanted to take just wasn't working, and the AI was simply repeating what it wanted.
