Good day, folks. Wondering if you could offer some advice about hiking in Cape Breton mid-October.
Besides layers and a raincoat, would a fleece do the trick or do you recommend a puffer? I suspect it will be chilly, just not sure how cold.
I've read about coyotes and bears, though it seems sightings are rare. Will bear spray see do the trick for both animals, just in case?
Also, we have a bunch of trails planned. We won't do them all, but we have options in case we decide to make a day of hiking shorter for spur of the moment decisions. Any ones you suggest not to miss?
Thanks, guys. Really looking forward to this trip!
