My husband is an artichtectual designer (he holds an accredited Bachelor of Architecture but is not yet a licensed architect) and I'm pursuing an associate degree in liberal arts, but most of my career experience is in hospitality and retail. I also did some administrative work for a bit in human services for a company that deals with home health care.
I was planning to transfer to a 4 year university here in the Boston area to finish a Bachelor's degree in communications but after the results of our latest election, I feel very scared and unsafe. I know Canadians have to put up with the "I'm moving to Canada" nonsense seemingly after every election we have, but I'm worried our marriage will be invalidated and they'll try and deport my husband, who immigrated here from a country that's not gay friendly.
I think the Martime provinces have a lot of historical and cultural connections to New England that would make us feel at home. Please let me know if you agree or disagree and if you think there's work we can do in your lovely province.
