No way to switch recent apps to the old vertical style?

I'm guessing this isnt something Nova Launcher can handle but just want to make sure its not hidden somewhere I'm missing. On a Pixel 3 and really not liking the horizontal recent apps scroll. Wishing I could flip it back to vertical style.
