Why does Norwich seem to make getting a job as a uni student borderline impossible?

Post Body

As a student in Norwich I’ve been struggling to get a part time job for almost a year and a half, I’ve redone my CV countless times out of worry it’s something with that, I’ve tried going in person with a physical, done multiple interviews where I’ve researched companies endlessly in prep and yet I’m never getting any results even when I’m told I do well in the interviews I’ve had feedback for (from me asking for any feedback)

Like I want an income, and as someone not too long away from finishing uni in a year and a half’s time and panicking about the future, I want to save to rent or get a home here because I’ve enjoyed the city in the time I’ve had.

Maybe I’m ranting but I just feel a little stuck, like what is going on with the job market for students? Most people I know can’t get one either, it’s becoming an issue and I don’t know what to do

I remember how hard it is to get in the ladder. However I will say this. I attend a local Norfolk physiotherapy practice. Both mg physio and my Pilates teacher are new graduates from UEA. So I’m guessing it may be somewhat linked to the industry you are looking in. Is Norwich a big employer of what you are studying/studied?
