Moving out for the first time, need advice

Post Body

I'm a gen z college drop out (it was too expensive) and I'm planning to move out of my parents house into a house with some roommates. I have a full time job but it doesn't pay much, and I have about 2000 dollar saved right now. I'm trying to figure out what things I need to do or can do to save money or what government assistance programs exist to help because I don't know what I'm doing and can't afford a lot despite my attempt to budget things. If you can offer any kind of suggestions or recommendations that'd be so appreciated

I don't have medical insurance which I will need because I have a medical condition and an unresolved knee injury (surgery is expensive). I also don't have a car, so I don't have to worry about those. But I do have student loan payments of about 400 months. But I'm planning to live in the Durham area with 3 roommates for about 1000/m with utilities. I work a full time retail job and make about 400 a week.

Any advice, tips, or words of encouragement would be really helpful. I'll take anything this community can offer, even if it's as small as "if you need a vacuum for your house, get this one because it's cost effective and gets the job done"

Thanks y'all
