I’m transferring to NC. I’ve never lived in the south before but I lived in NE, Midwest and DC. I never have had a thought to my safety because I know at least people won’t discriminate me as a gay man with a plan. I love going to the bars and events where I can network with other lgbt siblings.

I’d probably even consider moving to a city where there has been the most lgbt presence in the state and so I would love to hear some of your suggestions.

NB: Also looking for an affirming church (I used to go to Affirming Baptists). Great if it exists but not absolutely necessary.

Edit: I’ve changed my mind and decided to stay
