A few days ago I started taking 500 mg of L-Tyrosine once daily to help with some cognitive issues I've been having for a few years due to an Acquired Brain Injury. Over the last couple years my appetite has been pretty much non-existent due to slow gastric emptying and other issues. But the last few days I've been ravenously hungry and food actually sounds good again. Just today I had 2 bowls of cereal for breakfast (I can't eat heavy food in the morning), 3 slices of leftover sausage pizza, half a salami Italian with veggies and an apple. This is all in the span of the last 6 hours and I'm STILL hungry. Is this the L-Tyrosine at work?
I also have Hashihmotos and I read L-Tyrosine can possibly effect that stuff too, but I'm not sure.
