Hey everyone,

So I have been taking piracetam, caffeine, and L-theanine for a few months and was curious about anyone's experience with nootropics and addiction/drugs.

I noticed while taking L-Theanine and piracetem if I smoked weed I would be more incapacitated, so-to-speak, than if I hadn't been taking them. L-Theanine with caffeine significantly reduced my anxiety but I noticed it also reduced my ability to make decisions. Essentially, I could see several different ways of going about a problem (washing dishes, working, cleaning, reading etc.) but hit a wall when it came to deciding what was my next step and what method I would use. I felt like I kept being overwhelmed by the chaos of details I had considered in order to make that decision.

Has anyone experienced anything similar? Has anyone used nootropics to overcome addiction to alcohol or weed? I am also interested in nootropics effect on alcoholism.

Advice? Anecdotes ? I will read every response. Thanks ahead of time. !
