I'm on day 5 and liking the program so far. What I've noticed so far about my eating habits is that I eat mostly red foods and nearly no green foods. So today I am starting to try to make better choices and I had a salad for lunch.
I'm still hungry. This is why I keep slipping back into eating more meat and carbs (bread) and less veg.... they fill me up more. I know I can eat 5 pounds of lettuce for the same caloric intake as 5 ounces of beef (as one of the early lessons says) and technically have more in my stomach, but... who in heck wants to eat that much lettuce? It's not at all satisfying.
I think I just need support and encouragement to keep eating the greens and not slip back into eating red foods. If you stick with it long enough, does your perception change so you feel satisfied with a salad? If so, how long does it take?
