Done a lot of searching on this and there's a lack of info around.
Presumably this works well, as Tesofensine works more directly on the reuptake of dopamine/norepinephrine, with reduced effect on serotonin.
I already have an imbalance across these 3 little sods (fast TH/dopa synthesis - slow DBH/norepinephrine synthesis and very slow TPH2 serotonin synthesis).
Aside from this we have MTHFR C677T , COMT Met/Met, slow MAOA and intermediate/fast MAOB.
Using Tesofensine to combat the fast dopa reuptake/breakdown and impaired norepinephrine synthesis - so thinking I probably just need to support serotonin a bit here with a little (50-100mg?) of 5htp.
The thinking here being I see a lot of people on ADHD meds (that do what Tesofensine does bar the stimulant) an SSRI (which don't want to take, hence looking at 5htp given the fast dopa synthesis - this may create a better balance).
Thoughts?
