Quick: how to say “BIPOC” in an interview
Post Body

Hello,

Quick question: I have an interview tomorrow with a small nonprofit. A lot of my professional career has been with POC -people of color- and in interviews I’d talk about about “my work with youth and people of color”. Recently the term ‘BIPOC’ has become more common, but how do you TALK about this in an interview? “My experience with ‘BIPOC’ (and is that pronounced buy-pock, or bee-pock?) or do you just spell it out like you do ‘LGBTQ’? Or is it more professional to skip the acronym altogether and say “Black, Indigenous, and People of Color”?

Thanks!
