Sometimes I scroll through these ads and wonder, is there even room for me in the nonmono/poly world if I'm not bi, kinky, or into board games?

I still think I'm pretty cool 🙃 It's been a while since I seriously pursued dating, but life circumstances have recently changed (hopefully for the better!) and I finally have the spoons to put myself out there in hopes of finding other lovely humans to spend time with. As I'm sure you know, it would be easy to open up Tinder and just have some dick delivered, but I want more than that. • Intellectually curious and always learning/exploring - I don't care what you're interested in, as long as you're interested in something. Bonus points if you want to share to an embarrassing degree of passion.
• Politically progressive - we don't have to agree on everything, but I don't fuck with people who don't think I should have rights.
• Creative in some way? You choose what that means. Again, it doesn't matter what it is, as long as it's something you care about.
• Physically my type - look, I'm not gonna lie, I have some degree of sapiosexual flexibility here, but physical attraction is important. You don't need to be super jacked or hung like a porn star, but I do tend to like leaner guys with bigger dicks 😅 Love all y'all "dad bod with beard" types I see on here, but probably only as a friend.
• Into going out and exploring the Chicago summer - it's the best time of year in the city, let's go enjoy it! I've been a homebody/workaholic for too long, I want to go out.
• Probably at least somewhat extroverted? Or at least not a homebody? I sometimes call myself a frustrated extrovert, but I often need to be adopted by a real extrovert to really be pulled out to socialize; otherwise I just like going out and being near other people but I won't interact with them, lol
• Somewhat experienced with ethical non-monogamy and/or polyamory and the necessary communication that brings; bonus if you're down with a kitchen table sort of polycule where we can be friendly with each other's other partners.
• Somewhere vaguely around my age - I don't have much experience dating younger, but I'm not opposed to it. My husband is 12 years older, so I don't mind a bit of an age gap. As long as we treat each other as equals and we're at similar spots in life, I'm good.

As for the sexual compatibility thing. I really have very little experience with kink and while I don't dislike the more standard issue kink fare, my tastes are, for better or worse, pretty vanilla. I'm generally GGG and down to explore some kink with someone I like, but since I see this so often in these posts, I think it needs to be said: if you open with D/s shit, that's an immediate pass for me. That kind of thing takes time and trust to build up to, so cut the big daddy dom act and let's create an actual connection first. ALSO, I'm not opposed to dating a trans girl or someone otherwise gender non-conforming with a dick. I'd just be worried about not fetishizing you or making you feel weird in any way because I don't have much (any) experience there—but if you're cute, you're cute!
