This may or may not be the right place to post, but I'll start here and see how it goes.
I'm looking to connect with someone that's also happy at home and open to a casual friendship with the potential for occasional benefits. It'd be nice to vibe with conversation before vibing in other ways.
As you can see from my post history, life happened and long-term health challenges have changed things at home for the foreseeable future. We're still a team and were able to talk about it. Only asks from my wife are the common sense ones of discretion and safety. I'm posting here because those are given priorities for everyone reading this.
Hopefully you and I share the same generally positive outlook and level of open-mindedness, and an understanding of being happily busy with real life (work, parenting, hobbies, figuring out dinner). Ideally we're both keen to enjoy some casual conversation, take time to get to know each other a bit as people (text/phone/coffee) and if the vibe is right, go from there and enjoy each other some more. And if it's not, we can be the mature adults we are and move on with honesty and grace.
I'm genuinely interested to know more about you as a person. We don't have to share all of the same interests - in fact, I'd welcome the chance to learn about something new. That said, if you're creatively inclined and/or want to trade book recommendations…yes, please!
You:Â In your 40s or above, a working parent that enjoys your kid(s) but still has time for a creative hobby or two, generally happy and healthy, and comfortable with who you are. You're not one to bash your spouse/partner. You're busy but willing to make time for a bonus connection to share a break with now and then.
Me: 48, 5'10", enjoy keeping fit and exercise regularly. At the point where I need reading glasses, but also like how I look in them. Business casual for work, print t-shirts (which I also wear quite well)/jeans/hoodies at home. Old soul in that I'm early to bed/early to rise, prefer reading print books, and trying to spend more time away from screens and doing things like day trips, learning new recipes, and taking music lessons.
And if it matters (which is fair enough), my skin is darker and my head and face are shaved. My voice is pretty awesome.
Thanks for reading! I'd love to hear from you if any of this resonates. I don't have Reddit on my phone so I can't respond to chats (I'm old). That said, if you're kind enough to send a thoughtful reply, you'll get one in return. :)
