Which could include "Ryan," I'm not sure yet. Names I'm liking so far:
Rhyan; Rhian; Ryann; Ryan; Rian; Riann;...... Rylan; Reanne; Reyna; Reina.
I want to keep it pretty close to the pronunciation of "Ryan" (or even the same is fine). I think the names before the "....." are closer to "Ryan." I don't want to be TOO feminine either, so I'm not sold on Reyna, Reina, or Rylan (although Rylan is supposed to be more neutral than the other two).
I'm leaning toward Rhyan or Rhian. I like the way Rhian is spelled, and it's meanings:
"A variation of the Welsh word rhiain, this name translates to “maiden” or ”young woman,” a unique way to celebrate baby’s youth and potential. Rhian can also be used as a shortened version of Rhiannon, who was a queen in Welsh mythology known for her intelligence, determination, and generosity. This makes for a beautiful reminder for baby to stay strong in her beliefs and goals. "
But "Rhyan" is closer to my real name and can be used as an alternative spelling for Ryan:
" This Welsh name means "great queen" or "goddess" and is a variant of Rhiannon. If you need any more convincing, then Fleetwood Mac's song “Rhiannon” gives you a whole list of ways that the name is magical. You can also use Rhyan as a different way to spell the Irish surname Ryan, which means "descendant of the king," giving you lots of ways to honor any family history from the Celtic isles. "
Thank you in advance!
