I woke up to a text from my mother the other day, it was a link to a daily mail article promoting "Irreversible Damage". I told her it was transphobic, she responded with "Interesting article about why young women are doing this." I asked her what her intention was in sending it to me, she shrugged and said she didn't even read the whole article. Tonight I heard her tell my dad she thinks top surgery is "a huge mistake", that she thinks trans surgeries are a social fad, like plastic surgery. An hour later she tells me she thinks I should give the article "a chance", and was upset when I said No, absolutely not, its transphobic and the entire book is wild misinformation.
I hate it here 💀🥲
Update: She called me closed minded for refusing to read the article containing misinformation and bushit opinions 🙃
You are very strong for putting up with that crap. I seriously admire that strength! You know that your right so stick to what you feel ❤️
