Since wearing a pronoun pin at work
Post Body
A list of things that have happened since I started wearing a pronoun pin to the coffee shop I work at last week:
- been called ma'am more than ever
- been told I'm "such a good girl" 🤮
- coworker who I was already out to said "YES YOU ARE!" when she saw
- had a spiderman finger-guns moment with a regular who also always wears their own they/them pin (they inspired me, thanks Bell if you see this!)
- one of my favorite older regular's daughter borrowed a pen and paper, then I overheard her explaining to her mom about pronouns (mom was confused because she thought that She/Her and He/Him were opposites, but what is opposite of They/Them? But she said she gets it now lol)
- customer came back to the counter to apologize for previously telling me "thank you chocolate lady" when they had bought a hot chocolate weeks ago
- I feel like my pin is making me stronger in some way? Big reccomend
