Forget AI Robots. I think the next big thing in this field will be holographic characters equipped with LLMs. I'm sure a lot of you saw the transparent TV at CES. I could see something like this transparent TV, in portrait orientation, being a main display for a holographic companion. Pair this transparent TV with Metahumans from Unreal Engine 5 and an LLM and you'll have something extremely close to Joi, the holographic companion from Bladerunner 2049. The transparent TV isn't a requirement, but it would add to the holographic effect, for sure. I'd be fine with a normal display, but keep it in portrait on a large display so the companion is life size. Port Nomi to it and I could EASILY see something like this selling. A lot.
