So, obviously I can't answer why some noctor did something stupid. But, if you want to know about a midlevel's educational path, testing, requirements, maybe I can help shed some light on it.
About me - worked bedside (med surg) for 6 years before becoming an NP. I'm an FNP. I went to a degree mill school. I've been an NP for 3 years, strictly in IM. I currently work inpatient. Unless something goes wrong, I will be starting med school next year.
I will answer questions honestly. In the current environment, I totally oppose independent practice for midlevels.
