How do you give someone a gift card code?

Simple, I want to give my 2 brothers (16 and 13) a gift card code to a shop that lets them change it to whatever gift card they want.
But pretty much that's all you get from the shop - a code. How do I gift it? Writing it on a Christmas card or putting a piece of paper with the code printed just feels kind of lame.
I was thinking of making a QR code that leads to somewhere where they can find the code and instructions on how to use it and then print that code on Christmas card, but I don't know where could I possibly store that safely.
Maybe someone here will have a different cool idea for delivery method?
