I used to love creppypasta and other horror content when I was younger, but about 2 years ago I got a heavy form of depression, and soon found out that horrors don't scare me anymore. As if something broke in my brain and I lost the ability to get scared. You know this feeling when a 5yo tells you that they're afraid of darkness, and you go like "Lol, that's stupid. Darkness cannot hurt you". I feel this way literally every time when someone discusses horror movies or games.
I was playing a lot of horror games recently, and figured that I now like them for a different reasons. Horror games give the sense of solitude (in a good way), make you solve puzzles and usually have very goor sound design, which makes them very calming. I honestly envy people who actuallg get scared by horrors. I believe being scared might actually make you enjoy a game much more.
