It’s extremely far fetched. Science doesn’t operate like Tony Stark where they can somehow keep the inventions of Arc Reactors and Iron Man suits secret. If you found a cure, there’s an extremely likely chance that someone else is close too.
The MOMENT someone decides to bring that cure to market and make it public your business literally collapses overnight. Like I’m talking full layoffs over a weekend with no hope of recovery.
There’s no major corporations on earth who would be dumb enough to hide a cure for a disease
