For context, I am well aware of the dangers of drunk driving. I’m also aware of the legal ramifications of drunk driving.
I didn’t think I was anywhere close to being unable to drive. I had two beers. I’m a bigger guy. My eyelids were a bit droopy, sure, but I’d chalk that up to the double I worked today and not the two beers I had over the course of two and a half hours.
I California-rolled through a stop sign a block from my apartment and the officer who pulled me over decided to perform a field sobriety test after admitting to drinking two beers. I thought I did fine, but he received what sounded like an urgent call and, on his way back to his car, said that it is my “lucky night.”
So... how unusual does this sound? Was the cop just trying to scare me, or are you reading this and groaning that I’m missing all the red flags I just described?
Thanks in advance.
Edit: Slept on it. I’m taking this as a wake-up call. Two beers is two too many. Sorry if my dumbassery offended anybody.
