My dog doesn't take food from anyone but me, even my parents (living with us since she were born) struggle to give her treats.
One thing she does is asking for whatever I'm eating, be it normal food or chips or anything actually and sometimes when she comes super happy to take the treat she smells it and dislikes it or ignore it (she likes cheese but only when she feels like it).
Is she happy that me, her human, gave her a treat even if she didn't like said treat?
I've realised she likes that I give her attention, she mess up her sleeping towel/bed and wiggles her tail/dances happily when I put it back on its place, but then she messes it again, so I've come to the conclusion that she loves having my attention.
TL;DR: My dog loves attention, is attention when giving a treat enough for her happiness even if she doesn't like said treat after smelling it?
EDIT: I got an award because my stupid dog asks for some food and then declines it. Thanks!
