Why are there no visible scars on people who have plastic surgery?

(On mobile, sorry if the writing comes out weird)
When someone gets a nose job, a tummy tuck (results vary on this one I think), a boob job, etc. you almost never see the scars. How is this possible? I had to have my foot cut open after nearly breaking it in half and I have a wicked scar, same with having laparoscopic surgery (small but still visible). But Megan Fox gets a nose job and her skin is still perfect.
Do they have a different way of closing the wound or something?
