What is the best clothing for freedom of movement and protection? Say I'm going to do running around searching for treasure in an ancient tomb, what should i wear?

I was playing Uncharted when it realized to me that, if i was to go on an adventure where i'd need to do a lot of running, fighting, climbing, what have you, i dont know what the best article of clothing would be for it. I'm thinking some kind of loose fitting work pants and a tshirt/jacket
