Why is the Old Testament part of the Christian bible?
Post Body
The Old Testament is where a lot of the 'rules' come from, against homosexuality, etc., that so many modern Christians like to throw out as God's Word. But Jesus isn't IN the Old Testament, and many of the things that are pointed to were never addressed by the Jesus himself (or the Gospels).
So when the Church started evangelizing and came up with the Bible, why was all this non-Christ leftover dogma included?
