I have an idea for a new type of lottery draw game that is fundamentally different from the draw games that I am aware of. In my mind, it offers a compelling new way to play.
To my understanding, there isn't a way to patent an idea. Is there any path for me to try to capitalize on this? Any way to protect the idea so I can share it without at the same time giving it away? How could I sell the idea, or license its use? I'm a normal working-class schlub and have no connections with anyone helpful.
FURTHER INFORMATION: I've figured the odds of winning multiple tiers and using my state lottery's payout percentage model as a base, established potential payout amounts. I see areas in the game's model that can be tweaked with an upsold game modifier. I made a list of 20 potential names for the game. I am pretty serious about this.
EDIT: To be clear, this would not be a lottery game that I would be intending to run. This would work best as a state-sponsored, daily or multiple times a day draw game.
