Is there such a thing as selective tattoo fading?
Post Body

I got a tattoo of a wolf cub next to a paw print after my friend past as a tribute to him and his niece about a year ago. While getting it done I mentioned to the artist that the paw print looked like a cartoon and was assured that it was just a template and he would touch it up while working on it... well he didn't and it looks like something off of puppy dog pals. I hated it from the day it was done and considered ways to cover or remove it, but never saved the money or made time to get it worked on. Last month I noticed that it looked noticeably lighter than the wolf, I was a bit curious but happy to see it fading. Today while applying lotion to it I noticed that its at least 50-65% lighter than the wolf, hell if it keeps fading the way it has been it will be a faint smudge in a year. I dont know why it is getting so light, I have thought maybe something was rubbing it but nothing is, its on my calf but low enough that my pants don't rub it and high enough that my sox do touch it. It sounds silly but I almost feel like my body is getting rid of it since I dont like it. Here are pics to compare
