I have two email addresses that I use for various accounts. What's the best way to consolidate all my accounts for personal security and ease of use?
Post Body

I used to have one email address, it's my full name and birth year. After quite a few years, I decided I needed another email that would fit better on forms and be easier to say aloud. So I created a new email, which is part of my name and a number. Now, after many years of living with both of these email addresses, I'm trying to be more secure on the internet (Thanks to podcasts like Reply All) and get a password manager, to make my online life safer and easier.

Is the best course of action to move all my accounts to the short email address and use the long one for verification? Should I try to keep the old email? if so, how do I deal with needing to sign on to an online account on a new computer and try to remember which email/password combo I used? Where should I look for these answers?
