Would a war veteran who became a US citizen after serving in their home country be entitled to any veteran services?
Post Body

So, I was just visiting a family member at the VA and as I was leaving a probable stupid question popped into my head. If this doesn't fit here let me know.

So, say you were a war veteran who immigrated here after serving in your home country. You are now a legal US citizen, would they be entitled to any vetran services?

Would it matter if they were a veteran from an allied country? Like a WW2 vet from the UK who became a US citizen after the war ended. This would also assume they didn't enlist in the US military after immigrating.

My guess is the answer is no?
