Is picking up my package from FedEx going to be faster than having it delivered?

So I have a TV getting shipped to me from FedEx. I got one day shipping and it was suppose to be here today but somewhere in Indiana it fucked up and didn't get shipped out with that load. Well they told me it would be here tomorrow by 8PM. I suggested to just pick it up from the FedEx here(about 20 minutes away from me) when it arrives as opposed to having it delivered.
Would it be faster if I just picked it up then it being delivered?
