Why are my headphones making this pulsing noise?

I was fiddling around with my audio settings trying to make my microphone work again until i noticed a faint pulse. so then i turned up my volume and boosted it and i'm confused of what it is. also want to note i have no games or programs open in the background it's literally just my headphones when ever i plug them in or unplug them
