Why do I feel different about the same thing at different times?

Post Body

I have a biology exam in a week where I need to go over 7 chapters I never read before. Up until yesterday I was fine telling myself I'll start studying when I finish taking notes as I still have time but yesterday I started freaking the fuck out.

Today, I still have to go over the same 7 chapters but I'm not freaking out anymore. Now I'm thinking "Oh 7 chapters. I'll do one a day and I'll be fine".

Why am I more relaxed about this even though yesterday I had more time (8 days) and now that I have even less time (7 days) I'm not freaking out like I was yesterday?
