How do asian people have so much time?

Post Body

After typing this I'm not even sure if it belongs here, but I don't know where else to post it.

At the risk of sounding uneducated I want to ask this. I went to my friends house for a day and while we were playing games his grandma was doing so much.

First she cooked for us and after we went to his room she started watching asian drama. When I asked to go to the bathroom I saw her reading a book (I think it was after watching 1 episode). She finishes how long she's going to read then she asks us if we're hungry. We respond no and she goes to attend her garden. Afterwards she watches some more television then goes to her room (to nap I'm guessing). After her came out she went to go walk with her husband, came back and made dinner.

I'm assuming that's her daily routine but what surprises me is how she has the time to do all the slow paced "meaningful" activities such as walking, watering plants, napping, etc.

My day comprises of me going to school, going to tennis practice afterwards then picking up my siblings from elementary and middle school. Once I get home I have too much to do that I can't even think of napping or going for a walk; or doing anything peaceful. I feel like if I'm not being active then I'm wasting time. I can read and do homework for 2 hours, browse reddit for an hour play a bit of league and it feels like a pretty full day as its getting late (for a high school student). I can't fathom having the time to water (or even regrow) my garden, play with my parakeets, learn Spanish, watch a novela or 2, nap, and doing all I have to do in a daily basis.

It could be differences cultural background. I'm black and in our music it's all about "Stay on your grind, keep hustling, no time to slip up, chase money, etc". It might be being influenced by all of this is having me adjust my priorities. When I listen to Vietnamese music it relaxes me and I find myself laying down in my background smiling but then when the next song "All do is win" comes on I instantly get up and go back along with my business of doing homework and stuff.

TL;DR Is there an Asian secret to time management? Or is it their culture that has them prioritize certain relaxing events over stressful ones?
