Does anyone else feel the thought of sex is better than the act?

Maybe I have an overactive imagination and even though having it done it so many times, I always feel like sex is going to be awesome. Don’t get me wrong sex is always great. After the fact it feels like it’s not what I was expecting. This has nothing to do with the partner as i can tell the pressure on the woman is also wanting to make sure i feel satisfied. I feel some sort of fakeness in it that I can’t shake. Maybe I just need to see a therapist lol
