So this summer me and my gf were going to go to Spain for my birthday, alone, and then spend a week in some house out in the countryside with my parents. I didn’t want to do this, but since she’s there I think it might be fine.
We had planed this about 4 months ago. Now she’s saying she has to go home a day or two after my birthday to go on a vacation with her parents instead, since they are going to somewhere she’s never been before, and she wanted to go there. So instead of two weeks in Spain, a long awaited brake form constantly being yelled at by my parents, where I can enjoy being 18 with my gf, we are doing 6 days probably and leaving pretty much as soon as I’m 18. and I’ll then be home alone for a week or two while she’s abroad and my parents, and pretty much everyone I know are away. Because I’m not going to the countryside without her, cuz that’ll just be a weeks worth of my parents yelling at me
I’m just really disappointed, i really do understand that she wants to go with her family. But rn I’m just very disappointed, and it’s hard to think straight. So I wanted some other perspectives before I bring up my disappointment to her. And I’m honestly considering canceling the entire thing and doing something with my friends instead
