Could Microsoft’s new computer chip be used to mine bitcoin?

What I’ve heard about mining bitcoin is that they are mined by computers solving long math questions, and Microsoft’s new chip has solved math questions it would take others quintillions of years to solve. This is very base level knowledge i have though.
