Why Do Europeans Seem Obsessed With The America’s Lack of Passenger Rail System, Even Though We Have A Good Highway/ Air Travel System?
Post Body

We

  1. Have more railway than Europe. It’s just primary used for cargo.

  2. Have a good highway system, and so much of the US is spaced out.

  3. A good air travel system. People can’t grasp how large the United States is. Air travel is just simply faster, safer for longer distances.

  4. The US was built off Railway back in the day. The system doesn’t get replaced for no reason, and passenger travel being mostly replaced has to have a reason.

Edit: I just checked, commercial aircraft fly at around 500-560 MPH vs 200-230 MPH for Railway. Nearly 250% as fast.
